Description
Norway Spruce is the fastest growing of all spruce. It hardy and grows on most sites except where soil is water soaked. Prefers medium to fine textured soils (clays and loams). Transplants well. Best in full sun, since foliage becomes sparse in shade. Grows 40-60ft tall. Cones 4 to 7" long. Needles range 1.2 to 1" long, deep shiny green pointed tips. Moderately shade tolerant.
