Anoka Conservation District has an impending vacancy on our Board of Supervisors in District 5. Please share this throughout your organization and directly with those you think would be interested and able to serve the public well as an ACD Supervisor.
Supervisors are generally elected to four-year terms of office, however, this appointment is to fill out a term through 2024 and would need to prevail at the November 2024 election to continue serving.
Supervisors provide the vision, philosophy, priorities, and policies for ACD while staff attend to the details of bringing those to life. No expertise is required. Serving effectively as an ACD Supervisor requires a genuine interest in natural resources, a commitment to public service, and dedication of time and energy to provide thoughtful input. There are links below wich provides a summary of information about ACD and the role of Supervisor. Explore www.AnokaSWCD.org to find out more about ACD’s aspirations, programs and services.
The application is simple, requiring a response to four short questions (see links below). With hopes of selecting a candidate at our October 16th meeting, we are requesting applications be submitted by October 9th.
Please encourage folks to reach out if they have questions.
